A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols

SUN, DEC 10 | 7:00 PM

Our traditional service of Nine Lessons and Carols retells the story of humanity’s redemption in Scripture and song, from the fall of man to the birth of the Messiah. Music is sung by the congregation along with the Sanctuary Choir and played by the Park Street Orchestra. Seating for this service will be limited to sanctuary capacity. We suggest arriving early to ensure finding a seat. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Please be aware of those struggling with mobility and offer them priority seating. The service will also be livestreamed at: parkstreet.org/live. View the booklets online now at parkstreet.org/booklet!

Childcare for children ages 0-4 years will be available (register for childcare HERE by SAT, DEC 9). We look forward to worshiping with you!

An Advent Call to All-Church Prayer and Fasting

Advent is historically a time of prayer, fasting, and repentance as we prepare for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we near the close of a challenging year for our church, the elders and ministers are working with the All-Church Prayer Team to call the church to a season of prayer and fasting. God has promised to hear our prayers when we cry out to him (2 Chronicles 6:21, Psalm 4:1, Jeremiah 29:12,13). As we seek the Lord with humility, let’s ask him to show each one of us the log in our own eye (Matthew 7:3) so that we may be able to confess our sins and be healed (James 5:16). Let’s come together as a church in repentance, asking God to bind up our wounds, revive and restore us (Hosea 6:1-3).

There will be different ways to participate in this season of Advent prayer and fasting:

1) Join us tonight, THU, DEC 7, for prayer from 7:30 to 8:00 PM. You can join here

2) We want to be a praying church and blanket each day with prayer and fasting. We will have a sign-up for time slots from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM during the window of DEC 2–DEC 24

Join us for Daily Advent Readings

2024 Annual Meeting Date

SUN, FEB 25 | 7:00 PM | Park Street Church

Please mark your calendars for this year’s Annual Meeting on SUN, FEB 25. This is an important time in the life of the church when we vote for a slate of candidates to fulfill roles on the Board of Elders, the Nominating Committee and as church officers. Annual budgets for the church will also be approved. Park Street Church active members will be allowed to vote, but whether or not you’re a member we encourage you to attend! More information about the meeting, candidate bios, and childcare details will be available soon.

December Financial Update

During the last weeks of December our congregation’s M&O and Missions giving is hoped to be $1,000,000 for M&O and $640,000 for Missions. While the remaining need may seem daunting, especially if you are new to Park Street, take heart. It is typical for 30% or more of the annual budgets to be funded by gifts given in the month of December. The accompanying chart illustrates the situation.

Please pray, remembering that each of us should give as we are able, and that God loves a cheerful giver. Please remember that gifts intended for Missions must be specifically designated as such.

Nursery Team Members Needed

The Nursery Ministry could use more volunteers to help care for our growing congregation. Serving is once a month, during one of the services. You would be working with children ages 0-3. If this sounds like something you would consider doing, please email Stephanie Verrengia

Wilson House Room Openings

Park Street’s college ministry house has a residential opening. Twenty-somethings with a heart for undergraduate ministry are encouraged to apply! Six volunteer hours per week are required. Contact Director of College Student Ministries, Tammy McLeod for an application.

Prayer Requests

Collective Prayers

The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight,'”  Mark 1:3

Let us pray together…

• That God would reveal to each of us, and to our community as a whole, our sin and that he would help us to repent and turn to him.
• That God would guide us, the lowly and the common people, in how we can work with him to make his kingdom real on the earth.
• That God would guide our society as we continue to grapple with the proper use of technology.
• That we would allow the gospel to liberate us from the need to pursue glory, praise, status or honor from the world.

Submit prayer requests to: parkstreet.org/requestprayer (or call 617-523-3383).
